A living practice of attunement, relationship, and sacred presence.
In 1986, after the final class of a magical herbal group, I walked through snow-covered Beacon Hill Park (Victoria, BC) with my friend Stan (a dreambody therapist). We went to visit my tree—a 600-year-old oak I had communed with daily for five years.
As we approached the tree, My heart leaped into my throat. I saw it had fallen. Broken at the base and laying on the ground. But to my surprise, from the base of the tree, a glowing blue light emerged. In that light stood a Deva—about four feet tall, in a darker blue dress. She looked at me and spoke, “I’ve called you here. I’m leaving now. But you have been a good friend. I wanted and needed to say goodbye before I go.”
That moment lives in me forever. I’ve never doubted the sentience of trees since.
I didn’t pursue my MA in 2013 for the letters after my name, but to deepen my devotion to this Earth—to learn how to speak her soul into words
Because EarthSong isn’t just about ecology. It’s about relationship. About I and Thou.
We need to help people remember that nature is not scenery—it’s presence. That trees and rivers and flowers are not “things”—they are beings we can be in communion with. I’m especially drawn to reaching people through beloved, everyday plants—coffee, for example, which comes from the sacred mother trees of Ethiopia. And rose, which still carries the resonance of the heart. These common plants may be the doorways we need now—bridges back to the soul of the living world.
Kirpal Singh, Eastern Mystic I studied with in India, would sit in jungle meditation while scorpions lined up behind him in procession, following him from place to place, then circling him silently to meditate with him.
Ellen White, Coast Salish Elder & Shaman who welcomed me as one of her own. At her Order of BC ceremony, I sat beside her daughter Carol, who turned to me and said, “You know our mom in a way that we don’t—you know her spiritual side.”
And Dorothy MacLean (Deva Teacher, Findhorn). I attended my first workshop with her on Pender Island where we stood at the cliffs at the end as a super pod of over 100 orcas passed below. I also brought her to Victoria three times, hosting her here so her teachings could reach others.
Their presence walks with me still, and their teachings are rooted in the EarthSong Movement.
rises.
This movement is not a campaign or a brand.
It’s a remembering.
A soul movement.
It’s a sanctuary where sorrow and joy are both honored.
Where the trees are heard.
Where the devas are welcomed.
Where the forgotten bond with the soul of nature is gently restored, and people are guided back into relationship with the spirit of plants, and the wisdom of trees.
A movement of remembering. A return to attunement, not as a technique, but as a way of living. We listen to trees. We sit with moss. We feel into soil, stone, and spirit. We walk slowly through gardens. We tune our hearts to plants, popular and forgotten—coffee, roses, black pepper, yew. We tend grief. We invite joy. We use everything from color therapy to flower essences, from resonance practices to dreambody work, from attunement in public spaces to honoring the wisdom of children. And always, we keep coming back to presence.
We’re still shaping our offerings. So far, we’ve begun with in-person attunement sessions (nature bathing) in Victoria, BC—quiet, soulful gatherings in gardens and forests. We’ve also shared free blog practices like “Begin by Saying Hello" and "Daily Attunement Exercise".
We’re working on short classes, seasonal rituals, livestream access, and more. You can also hire me—Tree Whisperer, Mystic Herbal Elder, and Environmental Educator (MA)—for personal sessions or to guide your group in EarthSong experiences.

1. What urgent problems do we help solve?
EarthSong responds to a deep ache that many people can no longer ignore:
Disconnection from nature, from self, from spirit.
Overwhelm and grief in the face of ecological collapse, deforestation, and environmental violence.
Spiritual numbness—the loss of meaning, reverence, and belonging in modern life.
Isolation—especially for those who feel the world doesn’t reflect their values of soul, Earth, and sacred reciprocity.
Burnout—from trying to carry this alone, or from working within extractive systems that drain rather than nourish.
How we help:
We guide people back into living relationship with the Earth through attunement practices—deep listening with trees, plants, rocks, wind, and spirit.
We create safe spaces for grief, beauty, and renewal, where sorrow is not a pathology but a portal.
We offer seasonal nature immersions, community rituals, and plant spirit teachings that reweave people into the web of life.
We transmit a lineage of Earth-rooted spiritual practice from elders, mystics, and devas—inviting soul back into daily life.
We provide more than information. We midwife reconnection. That is the true urgency beneath the symptoms.
2. What is our guarantee—how do we create safety?
We understand that this is delicate, even sacred work. We make it safe in three core ways:
Gentle Entry Points: Our offerings include free attunement exercises, affordable live and online workshops, community.
Embodied Integrity: We walk what we teach. You’ll never be pushed into a vulnerable space we haven't held ourselves.
Our safety guarantee is energetic as well as practical: You will be met where you are, with respect.
3. Why you can trust us?
This is not a trend. EarthSong is the fruit of over 50 years of lived relationship with plants, trees, elders, and Earth. We didn’t invent this. We were initiated into it.
Our teachers walk with us. We carry forward the wisdom of Ellen White (Coast Salish elder), Kirpal Singh (Eastern mystic), and Dorothy MacLean (deva communicator)—each of whom shaped our path.
We don’t promise quick fixes. This is soul work, not self-help. Our trust is earned through presence, consistency, and depth—not promises.
Our work is transparent. You can read our writings, attend an affordable attunement, workshop
Our community is growing slowly and organically.
We are not here to sell escape. We are here to walk beside those who are ready to return.

“The EarthSong “Just say Hello”Movement, created by Don Ollsin, is rooted in a lifetime of deep relationship—with plants, with elders, with land, and with spirit. It’s not a product, but a living offering. Don brings to this work decades of herbal teaching, a Master’s degree in Environmental Education and Communication, and soul-level mentorship with remarkable teachers: Dorothy MacLean of the Findhorn community, who helped open the doorway to the devas; Ellen White, an honored Coast Salish Shaman and recipient of the Order of Canada; and Kirpal Singh, an Eastern mystic devoted to divine presence and inner light. These lineages live in Don’s work.
I’ve known Don for over 40 years, and his dedication to this path has always been steady, sincere, and spirit-led.
EarthSong is an invitation to remember the sacredness and healing power of the green world. In a time when so much has been forgotten, Don reminds us—gently and powerfully—to ‘Just Say Hello’ to the trees, the rocks, the flowers, the devas, and one another. I support this movement because it helps bring people back into right relationship with the living Earth through reverence, presence, and listening. That kind of remembering is soul medicine.”
My teachers were spiritual communicators and herbalists. My teachers communicated with plants through energy and vibrations. Don was very interested in what I was doing and he became my student over these many years. He learned a lot from me.
The students learned about the use of energies, whether on land or in the sea. Therefore, they learned about the use of plants from land and from the sea. Don has a deep understanding of these teachings and was able to teach his students in a way that they could see and understand the teachings.
The recipient of Don’s teachings would have a better life as they would understand their inner strength. He would not only be teaching them herbs and their usefulness but also about inner strength, energy, and being a whole human. I have seen Don turn students around into very calm, vibrant, and understanding people.
